Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad surface trough lies well inland over the Pilbara and Kimberley and will drift slowly eastwards on Sunday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies off the south coast. A trough and associated low lies off the Central West coast. The low and trough will weaken and move inland through the South West Land Division on Sunday whilst a second trough will develop and move east through the Interior. A broad trough will lie through central parts of the State on Monday with a ridge developing off the southwest coast. The trough will deepen and slowly drift south into the South West Land Division on Wednesday.

Showers and possible thunderstorms through the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields, southern Gascoyne, Eucla and adjacent Interior. Showers about the remaining western Gascoyne.
Forecast for Sunday 30 September
Showers and possible thunderstorms through the South West Land Division, Gascoyne, Goldfields, South Interior and the Eucla. Possible hail and gusty winds with thunderstorms through the eastern Goldfields in the afternoon.
Forecast for Monday 1 October
Showers across southern parts of the South West Land Division. Showers and possible thunderstorms in the southeast of the State contracting east during the afternoon and evening.
Forecast for Tuesday 2 October
Showers across southern and central parts of the South West Land Division and adjacent southern Goldfields, with possible thunderstorms through eastern parts of the South West Land Division and the southern Goldfields.
Forecast for Wednesday 3 October
Showers through southern parts of the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields, Eucla and the adjacent Interior, extending to the remaining South West Land Division in the afternoon and evening. Possible thunderstorms in the southern Interior and Central West districts.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Sunday.
