Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A high pressure ridge extends across much of the State, with a trough over the
far northern Kimberley extending along the Pilbara coast. The trough will
linger near the coast before moving inland on Friday as the ridge begins to
weaken and moves east.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A west coast trough has started to develop and will deepen and remain near the
coast on Thursday, moving inland during Friday. The trough will continue to
move east on Saturday as a new ridge of high pressure extends along the south
coast.
Forecast for the rest of Thursday 3 November
Very hot conditions over northern and western Kimberley. Windy in the morning
over the east Pilbara, southern Kimberley and North Interior. Warm and mostly
sunny across the Lower West, Central West and Gascoyne. Possible morning
showers about the Eucla coast.
Forecast for Friday 4 November
Possible showers over the western south coast and adjacent inland parts west of
Albany. Possible afternoon or evening thunderstorm over eastern parts of the
South East Coastal district and adjacent southern Goldfields and adjacent
Eucla. Tending cooler over the west coast but very warm through the inland
South West Land Division and Goldfields. Chance of showers and thunderstorms
over the east-central Kimberley.
Forecast for Saturday 5 November
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and east Kimberley, eastern North
Interior, and northeastern parts of the South Interior.
Forecast for Sunday 6 November
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and east Kimberley, Interior, Eucla,
Goldfields and eastern parts of the South West Land Division.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Thursday.
