Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A high pressure ridge extends across much of the State, with a trough over the
far northern Kimberley extending along the Pilbara coast. The trough will
linger near the coast today and tomorrow as the ridge begins to weaken.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A strong ridge of high pressure extending across much of the State will
dominate the weather pattern through to Thursday. A west coast trough has
started to develop and will remain near the coast on Thursday, starting to move
inland during Friday.
Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 2 November
Light showers possible over the south coastal districts, likely clearing by
evening. Windy again in the morning over the east Pilbara, southern Kimberley
and North Interior. Very hot conditions over the northern Kimberley.
Temperatures continuing to warm down the west coast.
Forecast for Thursday 3 November
Chance of an afternoon and evening shower or thunderstorm over the northeastern
Kimberley. Very hot conditions over northern and western Kimberley. Warm and
mostly sunny across the Lower West, Central West and Gascoyne.
Forecast for Friday 4 November
Possible showers and thunderstorms through the eastern South West, South
Coastal District and western parts of the South East Coastal District. Tending
cooler over the west coast but very warm through the inland South West Land
Division and Goldfields. Chance of showers and thunderstorms over the
east-central Kimberley.
Forecast for Saturday 5 November
Possible light showers over southern and eastern parts of the South West Land
Division and southern Goldfields. Possible showers and thunderstorms over
northern and central parts of the Kimberley, eastern North Interior, and
northeastern parts of the South Interior.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
