Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough over the Kimberley and Interior is moving east while a ridge
develops over western Pilbara waters. A new trough will develop near the
Pilbara coast during today, moving offshore on Tuesday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough extending over the eastern Goldfields, South Interior and Eucla
continues to move east. A new high pressure ridge will build over the southwest
during today.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 17 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern and eastern Kimberley, eastern
North Interior, east and south of the South Interior, Eucla, southeastern
Goldfields, and western South East Coastal district. Showers over the far south
of the South West Land Division and west coast south of Geraldton, clearing
from the west during the morning.

Forecast for Tuesday 18 October
Showers and thunderstorm over the northern Kimberley and far southeast of the
State. Possible showers over the Eucla, southeast Goldfields, and southeast
parts of the South Interior, clearing during the morning.

Forecast for Wednesday 19 October
Showers and thunderstorm over the northern Kimberley. Possible showers over the
Eucla and southeast parts of the Southeast Interior, clearing during the
morning.

Forecast for Thursday 20 October
Showers and thunderstorm over the northern and eastern Kimberley, central parts
of the Interior, southeastern Goldfields, eastern South East Coastal district,
and western Eucla. Showers over southwestern parts of the South West Land
Division and near the west coast south of Geraldton.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
