Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
Hot across the Kimberley. A trough lies inland from the Pilbara and Kimberley
coasts. A new high pressure ridge developing to the south will result in fresh
and gusty southeasterly winds over the Pilbara, Interior and southwest
Kimberley from Sunday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge lies over southern parts of the State and is moving east,
while a high pressure system moves through the Bight. A trough inland from the
west coast is moving east ahead of a weak cold front which will move over most
of the South West Land Division today before deepening and move over the Eucla
and South Interior. A ridge then develops over southern parts of the State
later Saturday into Sunday and remains there into next week.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 24 September
Showers extending to southwest of Shark Bay to Cunderdin to Israelite Bay in
the morning and mostly clearing during the afternoon. Light falls expected.
Chance of showers and thunderstorms over the far northern Kimberley, Eucla,
adjacent Goldfields and Southern Interior. Possible morning fog over the inland
Central West district and Central Wheat Belt.

Forecast for Sunday 25 September
Showers southwest of Perth to Katanning to Israelite Bay. Chance of showers and
thunderstorms over the eastern Eucla and South Interior. Possible morning frost
over the Central Wheat Belt, northeast Great Southern and southwest Goldfields.
Windy morning over most of the north of the State.

Forecast for Monday 26 September
Showers near the south and Eucla coasts. Possible morning fog over inland parts
of the South West Land Division. Windy morning over most of the north of the
State.

Forecast for Tuesday 27 September
Possible light showers southwest of Bremer Bay. Windy morning over most of the
north of the State.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
