Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A strong high pressure system over the state directs a fresh and dry east to
southeast flow. The high pressure system will move east from Friday and allow a
weak trough to develop over the Kimberley on the weekend.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A strong high pressure system moving towards the Bight extends a firm ridge
over the State. Meanwhile, a weak trough forming in the vicinity of the west
coast on Wednesday will move inland later on Thursday and Friday ahead of a
weak cold front across the South West Land Division on Saturday. A new ridge of
high pressure will follow in the wake of the cold front on Sunday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 24 August
Partly cloudy closer to the south coast with a light morning shower close to
the coast east of Esperance. Windy across the northern and central parts of the
State. Possible morning fogs and frosts over far eastern parts of the South
West Land Division, southern Goldfields and southern parts of the South
Interior.

Forecast for Thursday 25 August
Sunny in the north, cloudy periods over southern parts with a possible light
coastal shower east of Eucla. Windy across the northern and central parts of
the State. Possible morning frosts over southeastern Goldfields, South East
Coastal and southern parts of the South Interior.

Forecast for Friday 26 August
Light shower developing about the Southwest Capes in the morning, extending to
southwest of Pinjarra and Bremer Bay during the day.

Forecast for Saturday 27 August
Showers southwest of a line Denham to Eyre, more frequent about the southwest
coast. Possible morning fogs over far western Gascoyne, Central West and Lower
West.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
