Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A high pressure system over southeastern Australia is directing a generally easterly flow over northern parts. A surface trough over the inland Pilbara will gradually extend east into the Kimberley over the coming days. A low will develop in the trough over the far southwestern Pilbara on Friday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A surface extends through the Goldfields and into the western Eucla, and will move eastwards on Tuesday. A weak cold front will affect southwestern parts of the State during Tuesday morning. A ridge of high pressure will then develop near the south coast on Wednesday, before moving south of the State on Thursday. The ridge will strengthen on Friday as a trough develops near the west coast and a low develops in the trough over the northwestern Gascoyne.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 24 September
The chance of showers and thunderstorms about the eastern South East Coastal district, the eastern Goldfields and western Eucla.

Forecast for Tuesday 25 September
Showers southwest of a line from Lancelin to Bremer Bay, mainly in the morning. Possible showers and thunderstorms about eastern parts of the Goldfields, the Eucla and adjacent southern Interior in the afternoon and evening. Afternoon thunderstorms possible about the far northern Kimberley.

Forecast for Wednesday 26 September
Showers south west of a line Bunbury to Bremer Bay and along the south coast to Esperance. Showers and possible thunderstorms over the Goldfields, Eucla and southern Interior. Afternoon thunderstorms possible about the far northern Kimberley.

Forecast for Thursday 27 September
Showers about southern coastal parts, mostly in the morning. Showers and possible thunderstorms about the northeast Goldfields, southern Interior and eastern Eucla. Afternoon thunderstorms possible about the far northern Kimberley.

Forecast for Friday 28 September
Showers and possible thunderstorms over the South Interior, extending through the Goldfields and into the Central Wheat Belt in the late afternoon and evening. Afternoon thunderstorms possible about the far northern Kimberley.
