Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough over the eastern parts of the Pilbara, weakens as it extends into the
southwestern Kimberley Tuesday night. A weak ridge will develop over north
western parts of the State on Wednesday and drift southwards on Thursday and
Friday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A vigorous westerly flow with a series of strong cold fronts to persist over
western and southern parts of the State until Wednesday. A ridge will begin to
develop over central and northern coastal parts of the State in the wake of the
cold fronts on Thursday. The ridge will then drift southwards on Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 3 August
Very windy over central and southern parts of the State. Showers southwest of a
line from Exmouth to Forrest. Light showers also possible over the far
southwest Kimberley, far eastern Pilbara, North Interior, and northeastern
parts of the South Interior. Chance of squally thunderstorms over most of the
South West Land Division.

Forecast for Thursday 4 August
Winds gradually easing over central and southern parts of the State. Showers
south of a line Shark Bay to Kalgoorlie to Norseman to Eucla. Chance of early
morning thunderstorms over western parts of the Lower West and the adjacent
Central West and Southwest districts. Squally thunderstorms along the coast
between Albany and Israelite Bay.

Forecast for Friday 5 August
Showers near the west coast and far southern parts of the Southwest Land
Division and along the Eucla coast. Morning frost possible over the Central
Wheat Belt, eastern Great Southern and the adjacent Goldfields.

Forecast for Saturday 6 August
Showers west of Geraldton to Lake Grace to Albany and along the remaining south
coastal parts of the State. Morning frost possible over the northeast Central
Wheat Belt, southeast Gascoyne, Goldfields, south Interior and northwest Eucla.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
