Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge will maintain dry, cooler east to southeasterly winds in the north.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak high pressure ridge is developing over southwestern parts of the State
which moves quickly east across the south coast during Saturday. A trough moves
across the west coast of the South West Land Division later Sunday and into
Monday with a high pressure system moving well south of the State.
Forecast for the rest of Saturday 16 July
Light showers south of a line Lancelin to Northam to Katanning to Salmon Gums
and about the Eucla coast, more frequent about the south and southwest coasts
west of Israelite Bay. Chance of morning fog over western parts of the South
West Land Division. Chance of morning frost over the Interior, western parts of
the Goldfields, northern parts of Central Wheat Belt, eastern parts of the
Gascoyne and southeast Pilbara.
Forecast for Sunday 17 July
Showers over the South West Land Division, far southern Gascoyne, southern
Goldfields and southern Eucla district. Chance of morning frost over eastern
parts of the Interior and Central Wheat Belt Chance of morning fog over Eucla
and far southeast Goldfields.
Forecast for Monday 18 July
Showers over the South West Land Division, southern Gascoyne, Goldfields and
Eucla.
Forecast for Tuesday 19 July
Possible showers southwest of Perth to Walpole and along the Eucla coast.
Morning fog over the inland South West Land Division and southern Goldfields.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
