Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A drier easterly flow has developed, and is expected to persist over the
weekend and into early next week.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A firm ridge extends over the southern half of the State from a strong high
pressure system over South Australia. The high will slowly move southeast over
the weekend and early next week, allowing the ridge to weaken. A weak front
will brush past the southwest coast on Sunday, followed by a cloud band and a
stronger cold front from mid next week across the southern half of the State.
Forecast for the rest of Saturday 7 May
Possible light shower near the Eucla coast, far southeast Kimberley and
adjacent North Interior. Chance of morning fog over eastern Eucla District.
Light morning frost in the southwest of the State. Less humid over northwest
Kimberley.
Forecast for Sunday 8 May
Showers and chance of a thunderstorm southwest of a line from Eneabba to Bremer
Bay. Less humid over southwest Kimberley and northwest Pilbara.
Forecast for Monday 9 May
Chance of a shower about the southwest coast.
Forecast for Tuesday 10 May
Showers southwest of a line from Dawesville to Albany.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
