Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A weak trough extends near the coast from the Kimberley to the Pilbara. It will
push offshore from the east Pilbara and Kimberley coasts for a period on Monday
morning.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A strong high pressure system well to the southeast of the State will continue
to move slowly east. A weak west coast trough will move inland on Monday ahead
of a series of cold fronts to cross the west coast Monday evening, late Tuesday
and early Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of Monday 25 April
Showers developing over the Southwest Capes in the afternoon and extending to
southwest of a line Geraldton to Albany by late evening. Chance of gusty
thunderstorms developing near coastal parts between Lancelin and Windy Harbour
late afternoon and evening.
Forecast for Tuesday 26 April
Showers over western parts of the Southwest Land Division extending to
southwest of a line Coral Bay to Leinster to Eyre during the day. Chance of
thunderstorms over the Southwest Land Division, far southern Gascoyne,
Goldfields and far west Eucla.
Forecast for Wednesday 27 April
Showers and the chance of thunderstorms over the Southwest Land Division,
southern Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla and adjacent South Interior.
Forecast for Thursday 28 April
Showers over the Southwest Land Division, southwest Gascoyne coast, southwest
Goldfields and Eucla coast.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
