Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A weak trough extends near the coast from the Kimberley to the Pilbara. It will
push offshore from the Pilbara and far west Kimberley coasts for a period in
the mornings during the week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak cold front is brushing past the south coast. A ridge will develop south
of the State in the wake of the front from today as a strengthening high
pressure system arrives on Thursday and Friday. A cloud band extending from the
Gascoyne to the Interior will weaken today. Meanwhile, a broad weak trough is
forming near the west coast.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 20 April
Areas of smoke haze over parts of the Lower West and South West districts.
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern Kimberley. Showers and areas of
rain over the northeast Gascoyne, southern Pilbara and southern Interior easing
during the day. Few light showers over the southern coastal districts, southern
Goldfields and southeastern parts of the Great Southern.

Forecast for Thursday 21 April
Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over the far northwest Kimberley. Light
showers along the southern coastal districts, chance of showers near the
Gascoyne coast.

Forecast for Friday 22 April
Chance of showers and thunderstorms over the western Gascoyne. Light showers
over the South Coastal, Southeast Coastal, Eucla and far southeast Goldfields.

Forecast for Saturday 23 April
Chance of showers and thunderstorms over the northern Gascoyne and southern
Pilbara. Showers over the South Coastal, Southeast Coastal, Eucla and southern
Goldfields.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
