Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A weak trough extends from the Kimberley to the Pilbara.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure over the south of the State is weakening. A trough
near the west coast will move inland on Saturday ahead of a weak cold front
which brushes the southwest coast. A new ridge of high pressure will follow in
the wake of the front and west coast trough. A cloud band will develop across
the central parts of the State from Sunday and will persist until the middle of
next week.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 16 April
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the northern and western Kimberley.
Showers developing south of Harvey to Israelite Bay. One or two light showers
over eastern parts of the Eucla district. Chance of morning fog near the south
coast and areas of smoke haze over the southwest.

Forecast for Sunday 17 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley. Showers and areas
of rain developing over the Gascoyne, far northern parts of Central West,
western parts of the South Interior and northern parts of the Goldfields.
Showers south and southeast of a line Busselton to Kalgoorlie. Chance of
morning fog over eastern Eucla District.

Forecast for Monday 18 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley. Showers and areas
of rain over the far southern parts of the Pilbara, Gascoyne, southern parts of
the South Interior, northern and eastern parts of the Goldfields and eastern
Eucla. Light showers on the south coast.

Forecast for Tuesday 19 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the western Kimberley, southern parts of the
Pilbara, Gascoyne, northern parts of Central West, southern parts of the South
Interior, northern parts of the Goldfields. Showers about the south coast to
the west of Israelite Bay.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
