Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends to the Pilbara from a tropical low offshore from the northwest
coast. The tropical low will move south southeast tonight passing west of
Exmouth and then south on Friday off the west coast. Another weak trough
extends from inland Kimberley to the the North Interior.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough lies through the central west coast and extends into the Gascoyne. A
tropical low lies offshore of the Gascoyne coast and is forecast to gradually
move southwards during today crossing the central west coast on Sunday with a
cold front moving over southern parts of the state. A new ridge of high
pressure will extend east along the south coast behind the cold front and low
pressure system early next week.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 1 April
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the western Pilbara, Gascoyne and northern
parts of the South West Land Division. Thunderstorms possible severe and
showers tending to rain and with heavy falls possible over the far west Pilbara
and western Gascoyne. Showers and thunderstorms about southern and central
parts of the South West Land Division mainly during the morning. Showers about
the Goldfields and coastal parts of the South East Coastal and Eucla districts.
Chance of a shower or gusty thunderstorm over the far west Kimberley.

Forecast for Saturday 2 April
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over western Pilbara, western Gascoyne and
Central West. Showers over the southern and central parts of the South West
Land Division, eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields and far western parts of the South
Interior. Chance of a shower or gusty thunderstorm over the far west Kimberley.

Forecast for Sunday 3 April
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the southwest Pilbara, western Gascoyne,
northern and central parts of the South West Land Division. Showers over
southern parts of the South West Land Division, eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields
and western Eucla District. Chance of a shower or gusty thunderstorm over the
far northern Kimberley.

Forecast for Monday 4 April
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the southwest Gascoyne and northern parts
of the South West Land Division. Showers over remaining parts of the South West
Land Division, southern Gascoyne, southwest Goldfields and western Eucla
District. Chance of a shower or gusty thunderstorm over the far northern
Kimberley.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Friday.
