Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad area of low pressure extends across the north.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough from inland Gascoyne to the South Interior associated with a cloud
band is expected to gradually weaken. A ridge of high pressure is extending
across the south coast. A new trough will develop near the Gascoyne coast and
extend south along the west coast on the weekend.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 5 March
Patchy rain over central and southern parts of the South Interior. Showers and
gusty thunderstorms over most parts of the Kimberley, eastern parts of the
North Interior and western Pilbara. Few showers in the south of the State,
drizzle west of Esperance near the coast.

Forecast for Sunday 6 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over most parts of the Kimberley, northern
parts of the North Interior and far western Pilbara. Few light showers over
Eucla, southern parts of the South Interior, southeast Goldfields, Southeast
Coastal and the southwest coast.

Forecast for Monday 7 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over most parts of the Kimberley, northern
parts of the North Interior, Pilbara and far northern parts of the Gascoyne.
Few light showers in the south of the State.

Forecast for Tuesday 8 March
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over most parts of the Kimberley, Pilbara,
adjacent North Interior and northern parts of the Gascoyne. Few light showers
near the south coast.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
