Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends across the Kimberley towards the Pilbara coast.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough extending from the inland Gascoyne into the South West Land Division
will move closer to the west coast today and deepen, before moving inland again
on Friday and on Saturday. A large high pressure system will develop to the
southwest of the Bight today and extend a ridge to the Eucla Coast before
moving away to the southeast on Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of Thursday 24 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northeast Pilbara and far
northern interior. Possible showers and thunderstorms about southern districts
of the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Friday 25 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northeast Pilbara and
adjacent northwest North Interior. Possible thunderstorms about southern
districts of the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Saturday 26 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern Pilbara and
adjacent northwest North Interior. Possible thunderstorms about southern and
eastern parts of the South West Land Division and adjacent southern Goldfields.
Forecast for Sunday 27 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara and far northwest
Northern Interior. Showers over far southern parts of the State with the chance
of thunderstorms over eastern parts of the South West Land Division, southeast
Goldfields and Eucla.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Thursday.
