Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends over central parts of the Pilbara and through offshore waters
with a weak trough of low pressure over the Kimberley.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A deep low south of the state will continue to moves east as a ridge of high
pressure becomes established along the south coast today and on Wednesday. A
trough will extend from the Pilbara through the Gascoyne and into the South
West Land Division on Thursday and Friday.
Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 8 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, northeast
Gascoyne, northern Goldfields. Light showers about the western south coast and
adjacent inland parts, mainly during the morning.
Forecast for Wednesday 9 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, and northeast
Gascoyne. Possible light showers long the coastal South Coast District.
Forecast for Thursday 10 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, Interior,
northern Goldfields and northern parts of the Central Wheat Belt.
Forecast for Friday 11 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, Interior,
Goldfields and northern, central and eastern parts of the South West Land
Division.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
