Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the Pilbara to northern parts of the Interior. A monsoon
trough is over the north Kimberley. A weak Tropical Low located off the
northwest Kimberley coast will dissipate on Monday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A low pressure trough is inland from the west coast and continues to moves
eastwards into the Goldfields through Monday. A new ridge will begin to develop
off the southwest of the state behind the trough. A new low pressure system
forms in the western Bight on Tuesday but moves away during Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of Monday 24 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northeast Pilbara and North
Interior. Showers over the far south of the State.
Forecast for Tuesday 25 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, central and eastern Pilbara and
North Interior. Showers over the far south of the State.
Forecast for Wednesday 26 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, central and eastern Pilbara,
North Interior and northeastern parts of the South Interior. Possible showers
near the south coast.
Forecast for Thursday 27 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara and Interior.
Possible showers near the south coast.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
