Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extending from the Pilbara coast to the North Interior will slowly
drift south for the next couple of days before becoming stationary later in the
week. Heatwave conditions in the north will ease mid-week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure will remain near the south coast over the next few
days. A trough developing inland from the west coast will deepen slowly during
the week and bring warmer temperatures to the South West Land Division. A new
high pressure system will build a firm ridge over the southeast of the state
later in the week.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 21 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley and adjacent northeast
Interior. Showers and thunderstorms possible over east Pilbara, eastern
Gascoyne, western Goldfields, western South Interior, Central West and
northeastern parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Wednesday 22 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, east Pilbara, Interior, eastern
Gascoyne, Goldfields, northwest Eucla and northeast South West Land Division.

Forecast for Thursday 23 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, east Pilbara, Interior and
northeast Goldfields.

Forecast for Friday 24 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, east Pilbara, North Interior and
South Interior.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
