Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A heat trough over the inland Kimberley extends west over the Pilbara inland
from the coast. The trough will remain near stationary over the next few days.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge extends along the south coast. The high will move south
of the Bight tonight with a broad trough forming over the Gascoyne and South
West Land Division. A weak cold front will brush the SW Capes Tuesday morning
with the trough moving east to lie over the inland Gascoyne and Goldfields by
Tuesday evening. A new high pressure ridge will develop south of the State
during Tuesday afternoon and evening.
Forecast for the rest of Monday 13 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Interior this morning and the Kimberley and
eastern Pilbara this afternoon and evening.
Forecast for Tuesday 14 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and Interior, extending into the
Goldfields and adjacent Eucla during the day. Possible light showers over
coastal parts between Busselton and Bremer Bay.
Forecast for Wednesday 15 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, northern and western
Goldfields, southeast Gascoyne and northeast Central Wheat Belt.
Forecast for Thursday 16 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the central and east Kimberley, eastern and
southern Interior, Goldfields, Eucla and eastern parts of the South West Land
Division. Possible light showers along the western south coast.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
