Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A high pressure system is moving slowly east through the Bight during the day
today. Fresh and gusty east to southeast winds over northern parts today will
ease on Thursday as a trough develops over the western Pilbara and becomes
established on Friday and Saturday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system is moving slowly east through the Bight. A trough near
the west coast will move inland during today ahead of a weak cold front that
brushes the far southwest Thursday morning. A new ridge will extend along the
south coast later on Thursday before another trough develops and deepens near
the west coast on Friday and Saturday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 22 September
Sunny throughout. Windy over northern districts during the morning.

Forecast for Thursday 23 September
Showers over the South West, South Coastal and the South East Coastal districts
and the adjacent Great Southern with mainly light falls.

Forecast for Friday 24 September
Chance of an early light shower near the south coast.

Forecast for Saturday 25 September
Showers developing over southern and eastern parts of the South West Land
Division and the western Goldfields with a chance of afternoon or evening
thunderstorms.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
