Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough extends from the Kimberley coast to the inland Pilbara.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A broad trough extends from the Pilbara towards the south coast and will move
east across the State on Wednesday. On Thursday, a cold front will cross the
southwest of the State, followed by a ridge of high pressure will developing
over southern parts in its wake.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 18 August
Showers and over southern and central parts of the South West Land Division,
southern Goldfields and the Eucla. Thunderstorms possible over central and
eastern parts of the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields and the
Eucla.

Forecast for Thursday 19 August
Showers over the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields and the Eucla.
Thunderstorms possible about coastal and adjacent parts between Lancelin and
Walpole.

Forecast for Friday 20 August
Showers over the most of the South West Land Division, south coastal Gascoyne
and the Eucla. Showers will contract to coastal parts of the South West Land
Division by the evening.

Forecast for Saturday 21 August
Showers southwest of a line from Geraldton to Esperance.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
