Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough over the southern Kimberley will contract north during today as a
ridge strengthens through central parts of the State. Another trough will move
through the Pilbara later on Friday and during Saturday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure is developing over central parts of the state today
and drifts south on Thursday. The ridge will contract east on Friday ahead of a
cold front that crosses the southwest late Friday and into Saturday morning.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 11 August
Showers southwest of a line from Jurien Bay to Bremer Bay and along the
remaining south coast east to Israelite Bay. Early frost possible over the
southeast Gascoyne, Central Wheat Belt, northern Great Southern and adjacent
Goldfields.

Forecast for Thursday 12 August
Showers southwest of a line Lancelin to Hopetoun and along the remaining south
coast east to Israelite Bay.

Forecast for Friday 13 August
Showers southwest of a line from Mandurah to Albany.

Forecast for Saturday 14 August
Showers southwest of a line from Mandurah to Albany, extending to the remaining
South West Land Division and the southwest Goldfields during the day.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
