Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over the coastal parts of the Pilbara and Kimberley.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge is developing over remaining southern parts of the State and will drift
well south of the State on Sunday. The ridge will strengthen on Monday as a
high moves well to the south and a surface trough will deepen off the west
coast.
Forecast for the rest of Saturday 1 May
Chance of showers and thunderstorm near the northwest Kimberley coast. Showers
about the South Coastal, and southern areas of the South West district.
Forecast for Sunday 2 May
Chance of showers in the west Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne, northeast Goldfields
and SW Interior. Showers extending southwest of a line Bunbury to Esperance.
Moderate falls possible near the coast between Augusta and Albany.
Forecast for Monday 3 May
Showers in the west Pilbara, Gascoyne, northern Goldfields, SW Interior. Chance
of thunderstorms over the inland Gascoyne. Showers near the south and Eucla
coast.
Forecast for Tuesday 4 May
Showers throughout the South West Land Division, western Pilbara, Gascoyne,
Goldfields, Southwest Interior and Eucla. Chance of thunderstorms southwest of
Onslow to Esperance.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
