Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies inland from the Kimberley coast and the Pilbara coast,
extending down through the Gascoyne, remaining mostly stationary over the
coming days.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
The surface trough will move back towards the west coast on Thursday morning
and move inland late Thursday and during Friday. A new ridge develops south of
the state on Saturday with another trough to form near the west coast over the
weekend.
Forecast for the rest of Thursday 1 April
Chance of showers and thunderstorms over the far north Kimberley. Showers and
the chance of a thunderstorm southwest of a line from Mandurah to Bremer Bay,
mainly during the morning.
Forecast for Friday 2 April
Chance of showers and thunderstorms over the far north Kimberley, the inland
Gascoyne and inland northern and central parts of the South West Land Division.
Possible showers near the southwest coast.
Forecast for Saturday 3 April
Chance of showers and thunderstorms over the far north Kimberley. Showers in
western and southern parts of the South West Land Division with the chance of
thunderstorms over western parts.
Forecast for Sunday 4 April
Chance of showers and thunderstorms over the far north Kimberley and over the
inland Central West district. Possible showers over southwestern parts of the
South West Land Division with the chance of morning thunderstorms.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Thursday.
