Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies from the coastal Kimberley, Pilbara and down through the
Gascoyne, remaining mostly stationary over the coming days.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak ridge of high pressure lies near the south coast while a broad surface
trough is developing from the Gascoyne to central parts of the South West Land
Division and towards the south coast. The trough will move to eastern WA later
this week.
Forecast for the rest of Monday 29 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the northern Kimberley, western Pilbara, inland
Gascoyne, southwest Goldfields and eastern parts of the South West Land
Division.
Forecast for Tuesday 30 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the far north Kimberley, west Pilbara and inland
western Gascoyne. A chance of a shower or thunderstorm over parts of the South
Coastal, Great Southern and Central Wheat Belt districts.
Forecast for Wednesday 31 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the far north Kimberley. Showers developing over
southwestern parts of WA.
Forecast for Thursday 1 April
Showers and thunderstorms over the far north Kimberley and inland western
Gascoyne. Showers southwest of a line from Perth to Bremer Bay.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
