Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over the inland Kimberley, Interior and Gascoyne. A
tropical low will move from the NT into the eastern Kimberley during Tuesday
and then on Wednesday it is likely to move into the North Interior.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak front will brush the southwest of the State during Tuesday afternoon and
evening. On Wednesday the front will weaken during the morning and a new ridge
of high pressure will develop near the south coast. During Thursday and Friday
the ridge near the south coast will be the dominant feature.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 9 February
Rain and heavy falls over the eastern Kimberley. Showers and thunderstorms over
the remainder of the Kimberley, Interior, Eucla and the eastern Goldfields.
Showers over areas southwest of Jurien Bay to Bremer Bay, mainly coastal.

Forecast for Wednesday 10 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, far northeast Gascoyne,
eastern Goldfields, Eucla and Interior. Showers near the south coast.

Forecast for Thursday 11 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne, far
eastern Goldfields, eastern Eucla and Interior. Possible light showers near the
south coast.

Forecast for Friday 12 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne and Interior.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
