Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over the Kimberley, Interior and into the inland eastern
Pilbara and will extend further to the western Pilbara on Thursday. A tropical
low over the northeast Kimberley is expected to track towards the west
southwest over the coming days.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough lies over the Interior of WA will recede eastwards, as a ridge of high
pressure begins to build to the south of the State. A trough over the inland
Gascoyne will develop down the west coast from Friday as the ridge strengthens
to the south of the State.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 28 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, far eastern Pilbara, Interior,
far eastern Goldfields and the eastern Eucla. Heavy falls possible over the
northern Kimberley. Showers possible near the south coast.

Forecast for Friday 29 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, central and eastern Pilbara,
central and northern Interior, far northern Goldfields and the inland Gascoyne.
Rain with squally winds and heavy falls possible over the northern and western
Kimberley. Showers possible over the south coast between Windy Harbour and
Bremer Bay.

Forecast for Saturday 30 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, inland
Gascoyne and far northern parts of the Central West district. Rain with squally
winds and heavy falls possible over the northern and western Kimberley. Showers
possible over the south coast between Walpole and Bremer Bay.

Forecast for Sunday 31 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior and Gascoyne.
Rain with squally winds and heavy falls possible over the western Kimberley and
eastern Pilbara.
