Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over the Kimberley, Interior and into the inland eastern
Pilbara and will extend further to the western Pilbara on Thursday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A developing trough lies over central parts of the South West Land Division.
The trough moves eastwards on Wednesday ahead of a cold front that moves over
western and southwestern parts of the Southwest Land Division during Wednesday.
On Thursday and Friday a new ridge will begin to develop to the south of the
State with a trough developing over the inland Gascoyne.
Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 26 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, Goldfields, far western
Eucla and eastern parts of the South West Land Division. Moderate to heavy
falls possible for the northeastern Kimberley. Showers possible along the
remaining south coast.
Forecast for Wednesday 27 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, Goldfields, Eucla and
southern parts of the South West Land Division east of Walpole. Moderate to
heavy falls possible over the northern Kimberley. Showers possible over the
Lower West and the remainder of the South West district.
Forecast for Thursday 28 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, far eastern Pilbara, Interior,
eastern Goldfields, Eucla and eastern parts of the Southeast Coastal district.
Moderate to heavy falls possible over the northern Kimberley. Showers possible
near the south coast.
Forecast for Friday 29 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, Interior,
northern Goldfields and the eastern Gascoyne. Moderate to heavy falls possible
over the northern Kimberley. Showers possible over the Eucla coast and the
south coast west of Bremer Bay.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
