Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the inland Kimberley to the inland Pilbara and will
remain near stationary over the next few days.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge lies to the south of the State with a broad trough over the inland
Gascoyne. The ridge will strengthen to the south of the State from early
Wednesday, with the trough extending down the west coast and deepening from
Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 12 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, southwest Pilbara,
inland Gascoyne, Goldfields, and northern and eastern parts of the South West
Land Division. Showers possible over the Eucla. Light showers possible near the
western south coast in the late evening.
Forecast for Wednesday 13 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, southeast
Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla, South Interior and northeastern parts of the South
West Land Division.
Forecast for Thursday 14 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, southern and
eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, Interior, Eucla, and northern and eastern parts
of the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Friday 15 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, inland Gascoyne,
Goldfields, Interior, Eucla, and inland parts of the South West Land Division.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
