Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the inland Kimberley to the inland Pilbara and will
remain near stationary over the next few days.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A deep surface trough lies over eastern parts of the Southwest Land Division
and will continue to move east through the Goldfields and Eucla during Sunday.
A new ridge will begin to develop near the south coast in the wake of the
trough on Sunday and extend south of the State during Monday and Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of Sunday 10 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, southern Gascoyne,
Goldfields and mainly central and eastern parts of the South West Land
Division. Possible light showers near the southwest coast of the Southwest Land
Division.
Forecast for Monday 11 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, inland northern
Gascoyne, southern Goldfields, Southeast Coastal district and Eucla.
Forecast for Tuesday 12 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, inland Gascoyne,
Goldfields, Eucla, eastern Central West and northern and eastern Central Wheat
Belt.
Forecast for Wednesday 13 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, inland eastern
Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla, South Interior and northeast
Central Wheat Belt.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Sunday.
