Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the inland Kimberley to the inland Pilbara and will
remain near stationary over the next few days.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A strong high pressure ridge lies to the southeast of the State with a deep
surface trough lying off the west coast. The trough will move inland from the
west coast and through the South West Land Division during Saturday. A new
ridge will begin to develop near the south coast in the wake of the trough
during Sunday and extend south of the State during Monday and Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 9 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, western Pilbara,
northwest Gascoyne, and western parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Sunday 10 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, western Pilbara,
Gascoyne, southwest Goldfields and central and eastern parts of the South West
Land Division.

Forecast for Monday 11 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, Gascoyne,
Goldfields, Southeast Coastal district, Eucla and northeast Central Wheat Belt.

Forecast for Tuesday 12 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, Gascoyne,
Goldfields, Eucla and northeast Central Wheat Belt.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
