Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the inland Kimberley to waters offshore from the Pilbara
coast. Fresh and gusty east southeasterly winds are expected over the Pilbara
on Wednesday and Thursday, before the trough moves inland on Friday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge is strengthening to the south of the State with a surface
trough lying near the coast. The trough will deepen off the west coast during
the week before eventually starting to move east on Saturday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 6 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northwest Gascoyne, and
far north Interior.

Forecast for Thursday 7 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northeast Pilbara, northwest
Gascoyne, and far northwest Interior.

Forecast for Friday 8 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley and the Pilbara.

Forecast for Saturday 9 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, the Pilbara, and
western parts of the South West Land Division.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
