Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies inland from the Pilbara coast to a broad area of low pressure
over the Interior.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge is strengthening to the south of the State with a surface
trough lying near the Central West district which will move northwest during
Tuesday. On Thursday a broad surface trough will lie off the west coast and a
high pressure system will move south of the Bight. The surface trough will move
into the Gascoyne and Central West district during Friday.
Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 5 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior and Gascoyne.
Forecast for Wednesday 6 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, and far north
Interior.
Forecast for Thursday 7 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northern and central
parts of the Gascoyne, and northwest Interior.
Forecast for Friday 8 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, and Pilbara.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
