Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies inland from the Pilbara coast to a broad area of low pressure
over the Interior.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge is strengthening to the south of the State with a surface
trough lying near the Central West district which will move northwest during
Monday and Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 3 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, central parts of
the Interior, and the northeast Gascoyne. Showers about the southern and Eucla
coasts. Gusty conditions about the hills and the adjacent western foothills in
the Lower West, southern Central West and the northern South West districts
during the morning.

Forecast for Monday 4 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, inland Pilbara, western Interior,
inland Gascoyne, northern Goldfields and northern parts of the South West Land
Division. Showers about the southern and Eucla coasts.

Forecast for Tuesday 5 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northern Interior, far
northern Goldfields, Gascoyne and northern Central West.

Forecast for Wednesday 6 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne and northern
Central West.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Sunday.
