Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the Pilbara coast through the inland Kimberley to a
tropical low over the southeast Kimberley. The tropical low is expected to
weaken over the next couple of days.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge lies south of the State and a trough is developing near the west coast.
Temperatures rising along the west coast as the trough remains near stationary
through to Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 22 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and northern Interior. Heavy falls
possible over the southeast Kimberley and adjacent Interior.
Forecast for Wednesday 23 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and northern Interior.
Forecast for Thursday 24 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern Interior and far
northeastern Pilbara.
Forecast for Friday 25 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, North Interior and central and
eastern Pilbara.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
