Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the inland Pilbara through the inland Kimberley to a
tropical low near the northwest Kimberley coast. The tropical low is expected
to move slowly southeast during Monday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge lies south of the State and a trough is developing near the west coast.
Temperatures rising along the west coast as the trough remains near stationary
through to Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of Monday 21 December
Squally showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, with possible heavy falls
in the north and central Kimberley and the adjacent Interior. Showers and
storms over the Pilbara and northern parts of the Interior. Light showers
possible near the coast and adjacent parts east of Bremer Bay.
Forecast for Tuesday 22 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and northern Interior. Heavy falls
possible over the southeast Kimberley and North Interior.
Forecast for Wednesday 23 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and northern Interior. Heavy falls
possible over the North Interior.
Forecast for Thursday 24 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern Interior and far
northeastern Pilbara.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Monday.
