Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies from the inland Pilbara to the North Interior. A tropical low is
expected to move over the Kimberley during the weekend.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge lies south of the state and a trough near the west coast. The trough
will drift inland during Saturday before moving back to the west coast by
Monday morning.
Forecast for the rest of Friday 18 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, Interior,
eastern Gascoyne, northern Goldfields and the adjacent Eucla.
Forecast for Saturday 19 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, central and eastern Pilbara,
Interior, eastern Gascoyne and northern Goldfields and northern parts of the
South West Land Division. Heavy falls possible over the north and northeast
Kimberley.
Forecast for Sunday 20 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, Interior,
northeast Gascoyne, northeast Goldfields and the northeast Eucla. Heavy falls
possible over the north and east Kimberley and the adjacent Interior.
Forecast for Monday 21 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northern Gascoyne and
the central and northern Interior. Heavy falls possible over the Kimberley and
North Interior.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Friday.
