Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough over the inland Kimberley extends through the North Interior and to
the Pilbara. A tropical low may develop off the western Kimberley coast during
Monday and move slowly towards the southeast on Tuesday and Wednesday. Although
this low is unlikely to develop into a tropical cyclone, shower and
thunderstorm activity is likely to increase over the western Kimberley and
northeast Pilbara as the low moves closer to the coast in the next few days.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure is building across southern WA and will dominate the
weather pattern early week. A surface trough will develop near the west coast
today and deepen through the middle of the week as a high pressure cell moves
into the Bight. The trough may move offshore from the west coast during
Thursday.
