Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the North Interior into the inland Pilbara, and will
deepen into the Gascoyne during Thursday and Friday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A surface trough extends from the South Interior, through the Goldfields and
into the central parts of the South West Land Division. The surface trough will
move through the southeast parts of the State during Thursday as a ridge of
high pressure develops near the south coast. On Friday and Saturday a surface
trough will form and deepen near the west coast as a high pressure system moves
south of the State.
Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 21 October
Showers and thunderstorms possible over the northern and eastern Kimberley,
southern Goldfields, South Interior, Eucla and over central and southern parts
of the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Thursday 22 October
Showers and thunderstorms possible over the northern and eastern Kimberley,
southern Goldfields, South Interior, Eucla and over far eastern parts of the
South West Land Division. Showers likely over remaining southern parts of the
South West Land Division.
Forecast for Friday 23 October
Showers and thunderstorms possible over the northern and eastern Kimberley.
Showers possible over far southern parts of the Southwest Land Division east of
Albany, and through the Eucla.
Forecast for Saturday 24 October
Showers and thunderstorms possible over the northern Kimberley.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
