Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies over the far northern Kimberley and extends a broad trough near
the Pilbara coast.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A cold front will weaken over the southern parts of the South West Land
Division early Thursday. A weak ridge will develop over central parts of the
South West Land Division during Friday, and then move south of the State on
Saturday whilst a surface trough develops through the Goldfields and Eucla.
Forecast for the rest of Thursday 8 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the north and east Kimberley. Showers over
western and southern parts of the South West Land Division, contracting to the
south coast districts in the afternoon. Mainly light falls inland.
Forecast for Friday 9 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the central and eastern Kimberley, and the North
Interior. Chance of a shower southwest of Lancelin to Albany.
Forecast for Saturday 10 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the Interior, eastern Goldfields, and Eucla.
Chance of a light shower near the western south coast.
Forecast for Sunday 11 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the Interior, eastern Goldfields and Eucla.
Chance of a light shower near the western south coast.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Thursday.
