Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough extends from the western Kimberley through to near the Pilbara
coast. The trough will move inland from the Pilbara coast during Sunday. Hot
conditions continuing.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough will deepen further on Sunday as it moves east ahead of a strong cold
front that crosses the southwest of the State. Another cold front will move
along the south coast on Monday before a ridge quickly develops over the
southern parts during the remainder of Monday and Tuesday. Another strong cold
front will approach the SW Capes late Wednesday.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 6 September
Showers southwest of a line from Jurien Bay to Bremer Bay, extending to areas
southwest of a line from Shark Bay to Israelite Bay during the afternoon and
evening. Gusty winds in the southwest. Hot and gusty conditions over the Eucla,
South Interior, Goldfields and inland Gascoyne.

Forecast for Monday 7 September
Showers southwest of a line from Carnarvon to Israelite Bay, easing in the late
afternoon and evening. Gusty conditions near the western south coast with
possible thunderstorms and small hail.

Forecast for Tuesday 8 September
Showers over the South West coastal area.

Forecast for Wednesday 9 September
Fresh and gusty northwesterly winds over the South West Land Division, Gascoyne
and Goldfields. Showers and the chance of a gusty thunderstorm developing about
the SW Capes in the evening, reaching southwest of a line Perth to Denmark by
midnight.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Sunday.
