Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough extends from the western Kimberley through to near the Pilbara
coast. The trough will move inland from the Pilbara coast during the weekend.
Hot conditions continuing.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge extends from the Central West coast through to the Eucla, with a
westerly flow persisting to the south of the ridge. A trough develops through
central parts of the South West Land Division during Saturday and will deepen
further on Sunday as it moves east ahead of a strong cold front that crosses
the southwest of the State. Another cold front skims the south coast on Monday
before a ridge quickly develops over the southern parts in the wake of the
second front.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 5 September
Showers about the South West district, extending into southern parts of the
Lower West during this afternoon and evening.

Forecast for Sunday 6 September
Showers southwest of a line from Jurien Bay to Bremer Bay, extending to areas
southwest of a line from Shark Bay to Israelite Bay during the afternoon and
evening. Gusty winds in the southwest. Hot and gusty conditions in the Eucla,
South Interior, Goldfields and inland Gascoyne.

Forecast for Monday 7 September
Showers southwest of a line from Carnarvon to Israelite Bay, easing in the late
afternoon and evening. Gusty conditions near the southwestern coasts with
possible thunderstorms and small hail.

Forecast for Tuesday 8 September
Showers over the South West coastal area.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
