Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A light wind regime over northern districts with coastal sea breezes. Winds
freshen over the western Pilbara from Sunday as a cold front crosses the west
of the state before a new ridge of high pressure develops through central parts
by Monday morning.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A strong cold front will cross the west coast during this afternoon and
evening, and move over the south of the state on Sunday. A deep low pressure
system will pass over the southwest corner of the State on Sunday morning. A
new ridge of high pressure will extend through central parts of the state
during Monday, with a westerly flow persisting over southern parts.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 15 August
Showers southwest of a line from Perth to Albany, extending to areas southwest
of a line from Carnarvon to Bremer Bay during the afternoon and evening.
Isolated gusty thunderstorms possible along the west coast and adjacent parts
south of Geraldton in the afternoon and evening. Moderate falls possible near
the west coast south of Kalbarri.

Forecast for Sunday 16 August
Showers southwest of a line from Onslow to Eucla, contracting to the southern
Goldfields, Eucla, South Interior and South West Land Division during the
evening. Thunderstorms and small hail possible in the South West Land Division
and southern Goldfields. Moderate falls possible in the Lower West, South West
and South Coastal districts.

Forecast for Monday 17 August
Showers about the South West Land Division, far southwest Goldfields and the
southern Gascoyne coast. Possible small hail over southern parts of the South
West Land Division, contracting east during the day.

Forecast for Tuesday 18 August
Showers about southern and western parts of the South West Land Division and
the southern Gascoyne coast.
