Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over the Pilbara and Kimberley coast through to Saturday.
The trough will deepen through the eastern Pilbara on Sunday or Monday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge lies over southern WA. A weak front will move over southwestern parts
of the South West Land Division today. A ridge will develop near the south
coast on Saturday, before a cold front pushes into southern parts during
Sunday. A trough will deepen through the South Interior on Sunday and Monday.
Forecast for the rest of Friday 31 July
Showers developing southwest of a line Jurien Bay to York to Katanning to
Israelite Bay, mainly light and mostly confined to near coastal areas.
Forecast for Saturday 1 August
Showers about southern parts of the South West Land Division. Mostly light
falls.
Forecast for Sunday 2 August
Showers over southern and central parts of the South West Land Division,
extending into the southern Goldfields and southwest Eucla during the day.
Isolated thunderstorms possible over the south coast and adjacent parts, most
likely in the afternoon and evening. Small hail developing over southern parts
of the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Monday 3 August
Showers over the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields, Eucla and the
adjacent South Interior. Small hail possible over the South West Land Division
and southern Goldfields. Isolated thunderstorms possible over the south coast
and adjacent parts and through the Eucla district.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Friday.
