Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A large high pressure system will move into the the Bight during Saturday and
Sunday, with a fresh burst of east to southeasterly winds along the Pilbara and
Kimberley coasts. The high will then move over eastern Australia early next
week.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system is moving into the Bight as a weak front approaches. The
cold front will move over southwestern parts Saturday evening before stalling
and weakening over southern parts of the South West Land Division on Sunday.
Another cold front will move over the southwest during Monday afternoon and
evening. This front will weaken early Tuesday morning as a ridge of high
pressure develops over southern parts of the State.
Forecast for the rest of Saturday 25 July
Showers developing about the SW Capes in the afternoon, then extending through
areas southwest of a line from Perth to Bremer Bay in the evening. Light falls
anticipated through inland parts.
Forecast for Sunday 26 July
Showers southwest of a line Lancelin to Southern Cross to Israelite Bay,
clearing most parts during the afternoon. Showers likely to linger in the Lower
West and adjacent parts during the afternoon and early evening.
Forecast for Monday 27 July
Showers developing southwest of a line Jurien Bay to Hopetoun during the day.
Moderate falls possible in the Southwest district, with lighter falls further
north and east.
Forecast for Tuesday 28 July
Showers though most of the South West Land Division in the early morning,
contracting to the south coast after sunrise. Showers lingering along the west
coast between Shark Bay and Jurien Bay until the middle of the day.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Saturday.
