Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
Fresh east to southeasterly winds over the north of the State will ease as a
cold front moves over the south of the State today. A weak ridge develops over
central parts on Wednesday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A strong cold front will move across the southern parts today. A weak ridge
develops over central parts on Wednesday with a strong cold front and middle
level cloud band over western parts of the State during Thursday. The cold
front and cloud band will move over the south of the State during Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 14 July
Showers and possible squally thunderstorms over western parts of the South West
Land Division with damaging winds and heavy rainfall possible in the morning.
Showers over the western and southern Gascoyne, remaining South West Land
Division and western and southern Goldfields. Morning thunderstorms possible
over the remaindered of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Wednesday 15 July
Mainly light showers near the west coast south of Dongara and the south coast
west of Albany.

Forecast for Thursday 16 July
A rain band extending over the western Gascoyne and the far north of the South
West Land Division during the late afternoon and evening. Showers over western
parts of the South West Land Division increasing and extending to the remainder
of the Division during the evening.

Forecast for Friday 17 July
A rain band over the eastern parts of the South West Land Division, western
Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields and Eucla easing and contracting eastwards during
the day. Showers over the remaining parts of the South West Land Division
easing and contracting to coastal areas in the evening. Possible thunderstorms
in the South West and Lower West.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
