Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A strong ridge of high pressure lies over the south of Australia. The ridge will move east on Thursday before being replaced by another ridge on Friday, which will remain in place through the weekend.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak cold front will brush the southwest corner of the State during Thursday with a second high pressure cell moving south of the Bight later on Thursday and Friday and strengthening. A weak low pressure system and trough will approach the west coast later on Saturday and sit near the coast on Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of Thursday 4 June
Showers about coastal parts between Cape Leeuwin and Bremer Bay. Showers also possible through the Great Southern and the adjacent Central Wheat Belt with light falls anticipated.
Forecast for Friday 5 June
Showers near the south coast between Denmark and Israelite Bay.
Forecast for Saturday 6 June
Showers about coastal parts between Lancelin and Albany, most likely later in the day. The chance of thunderstorms near the southwest Capes in the late evening.
Forecast for Sunday 7 June
Showers about coastal and adjacent inland parts between Shark Bay and Albany and the chance of thunderstorms near the coast.
