Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough and associated cloud band lies over the Kimberley, where it will
remain until Thursday before weakening. A ridge over central parts of the state
will slowly weaken through to Thursday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weakening ridge lies over central parts of the State. A weak cold front will
brush the southwest corner of the State tonight into Thursday morning, before a
stronger cold front moves across the South West Land Division and adjacent
parts during Friday. A new ridge will develop over southern parts of the State
during Saturday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 27 May
Showers over areas southwest of a line from Geraldton to Bremer Bay. Rain areas
and possible thunderstorms over the Kimberley.

Forecast for Thursday 28 May
Showers over areas southwest of a line from Geraldton to Bremer Bay, with
thunderstorms possible southwest of Perth to Albany in the late evening.
Showers or patchy rain possible over the Kimberley.

Forecast for Friday 29 May
Showers and possible thunderstorms moving through the South West Land Division
during the day, reaching adjacent parts of the Goldfields and Gascoyne later in
the day. Showers or patchy light rain possible over the Eucla, Interior and
west Kimberley.

Forecast for Saturday 30 May
Early showers clearing from the southeast Gascoyne and Goldfields and adjacent
Central Wheat Belt. Showers or patchy light rain possible over the Eucla,
Interior and west Kimberley. Showers over mainly coastal parts of the South
West Land Division with early thunderstorms possible near the Esperance coast.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Wednesday.
