Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough and associated cloud band will move east over the Pilbara and reach the western Kimberley and western Interior by Monday evening. A ridge will develop over central parts of the state on Tuesday with the trough gradually contracting north over the Kimberley.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A deep low pressure system near the SW corner of the State will move south of the State and then east during Monday. By Tuesday a ridge will develop over central parts of the state allowing a mainly westerly flow to persist over the southern parts. For more details on current warnings see

Forecast for the rest of Monday 25 May
Rain and possible thunderstorms easing to showers over the inland Gascoyne and Pilbara during the morning. Showers, rain and thunderstorms extending into the western Kimberley and northern Interior during the day. Squally winds, showers and thunderstorms over the South West Land Division, Goldfields and the Eucla, particularly over near coastal areas of the South West Land Division. Conditions easing and contracting to mainly southern districts during the day. Damaging winds with dangerous gusts possible over western and southern parts of the State, contracting to the south during the day. Showers near the Gascoyne coast.

Forecast for Tuesday 26 May
Showers over near coastal parts of the South West Land Division. Morning showers over the Eucla and the adjacent South Interior. Showers and rain over the east Pilbara, North Interior and Kimberley contracting north during the day. The chance of a thunderstorm near the Kimberley coast.

Forecast for Wednesday 27 May
Showers and possible thunderstorm over the northwest Kimberley. Showers over western and southern parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Thursday 28 May
Showers possible over the Kimberley. Showers over areas southwest of a line Kalbarri to Esperance.
